Placerville Recreation and Parks: Endless Summer

Adventure and exploration aren’t just for teenagers—adults can enjoy it, too! Did you know the City of Placerville offers over 25, three-hour kayaking classes? These stress-free, low-impact paddles, running through fall, are the new activity of choice for family baby boomers and beyond. Pick from courses that deliver the essentials (proper equipment selection and fit, basic safety, and paddling skills) or full moon/sunset kayaking where you glide across Lake Natoma beneath the light and shadows of the setting sun and rising moon.

Don’t forget to keep the kids engaged this summer in one of the Star Wars-themed camps, including Jedi Engineering and Jedi Master Engineering—where students can explore engineering principles by designing and building projects using various LEGO® materials from a galaxy far, far away—from July 16-20.
