RIPE AREA Workshop
Explore nature journaling through field recording techniques. Composers/Sound Designers Paul Godwin & Miguel Noya (DOGON) guide you in this immersive experience, you will lend your ears to audio field recording to extend the notion of nature journaling. Using smartphones as recording devices, practice listening and capturing sounds of the natural world. Explore post-production techniques to refine the recordings and accompany your experiences with journaling through written, verbal, or sketched observations.

Where: Wakamatsu Farm, 941 Cold Springs Road, Placerville
How: Free with pre-registration. No prior experience needed. Some equipment provided and cell phones will be useful for recording. SPACE IS LIMITED.
