Foodie Find: Kingdom Coffee Roasters’ in Folsom

Kingdom Coffee Roasters   //  For only a few short months now, Kingdom Coffee Roasters’ co-owners Ty Manukyan and Will Rentfrow have been keeping the neighborhood caffeinated and fulfilled with an assortment of in-house roasted brews, specialty drinks, and homemade treats from  Grateful Bread Co. in Fair Oaks. I recently stopped by to see what the buzz was all about, and ordered a fresh-baked Chocolate Croissant and what Ty and Will have dubbed the Little Rascal. With a buttery, flaky crust and fine chocolate chunks on the inside, the pastry was everything a croissant should be—and more. Served warm, it was pure melted chocolaty goodness and the ideal treat for a crisp fall day. The Little Rascal—featuring full-flavored espresso poured over half-and-half, and served on the rocks in a sugar- and honey-rimmed glass—could best be described as the coffee, non-alcoholic version of a margarita. The drink wasn’t only inviting to the eyes but the taste buds, too. Mixed with the cozy, rustic interior, friendly faces and upbeat Motown music, I departed perked up and ready to return.
