Get back into the swing of school with Roseville Parks, Recreation and Libraries.
Students in grades 1-8 can get assistance during Homework Help at the Maidu and Riley Libraries from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, starting August 28. Shy readers can read to a dog at the Downtown Library on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month.
If your children need somewhere to go before or after school, Adventure Club is the place to be. Open to students in the Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District and Roseville City School District, they’ll experience fun activities, meet new friends and finish their homework while spending time in a safe place with positive role models.
Learning isn’t just for kids! Check out a STEAM Kit at one of Roseville’s libraries, and work on collaborative projects focused on science, technology, engineering, art and math as a family.

Summer may be winding down, but don’t worry—August is still packed with events and activities to help you and the family squeeze the most out your remaining break.
FREE MOVIE FRIDAY
On August 4 at dusk, bring a blanket to Twin Oaks Park for a screening of The Lego Batman Movie. Grab some tasty treats at one of the food trucks and enjoy live music by Bach to Rock. rocklin.ca.us/freemovies
GATHER
On August 24 at 5 p.m. head to Quarry Park for a night of artisanal foods, craft drinks, live music and local artists at Gather. Partnering with the popular Sacramento team Unseen Heroes, the City of Rocklin brings this free community event to your backyard on the fourth Thursday of each month until October. rocklin.ca.us/gather
SPORTS PROGRAMS
Rocklin has partnered with Skyhawks Sports Academy, National Academy of Athletics, and Vision Soccer Training to offer various sports programs for kids. There’s also a junior sports academy where youngsters (ages 4-6) will build hand-eye coordination and motor skills while having fun playing flag football and capture the flag, and going through obstacles. rocklin.ca.us/recreation
ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
Expand your child’s mind at one of Rocklin’s interactive academic programs. Students will sharpen their investigative skills at a “Mystery and Myths” workshop, or awaken their inner maker with a “Mini DaVinci” course.
