Stop Hunger Now 2016

A three-day, two-community meal-packing event for Stop Hunger Now, an international relief organization, is  planned for March 11th-13th in Rocklin at St. Augustine Episcopal Church, 1800 Wildcat Blvd. and Roseville's St. John's Episcopal Church, 2351 Pleasant Grove Blvd.

Volunteers will pack 40,000 high-protein meals that include rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and a flavoring mix of 23 essential vitamins and minerals. This is an action-packed, intergenerational family activity, and everyone age four and up is invited to participate.

Donations are needed, and fund-raising will be community-wide. Make checks payable to  St. Augustine or St. John's  with "Stop Hunger Now" written on the memo line, and mail to the appropriate church., A donation of $25 provides 86 meals.

There are several opportunities to volunteer during  the three different days. Go to the churches' websites to register www.staugustineepiscopal.com or www.stjohnsroseville.org for registration forms. Image and information courtesy of St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church.
