Aaron Carter Comes to Sacramento September 27

Sep 25, 2014 09:29AM ● By Brenna Mc Gowan
Aaron Carter is coming to town!  Yes, you read that right!  The multi-platinum pop sensation, Aaron Carter, will be hitting the stage this Saturday evening at The Assembly Music Hall in Sacramento.  Recently kicking off the Aaron Carter's Wonderful World Tour only days ago, Aaron is set to perform in 60 cities in the U.S. and then move onto to his European leg of the tour in 2015.

While chatting with Carter, he expressed that he has been working to get back on tour now for some time. And while sometimes he still feels nervous before stepping onto stage, he said
“It feels great to be back on tour”. Carter expressed, “Seeing the scenery of all the cities I go to, looking at the mountains, seeing the culture, feeling how the weather changes, and getting to meet new people in each city.”

Carter’s first single off the album “Ooh Wee,” will be released on October 14th, followed not long after by his music video for the single and his new album. I inquired about his new record and what musically influenced him. Aaron commented,  “I really tried to stay true to myself and not go too far from from who I am.”   When asked how he kept the creative juices flowing while working on the new album Aaron said, “ Tweeting stuff and seeing my fans support and feedback.”

Who is Aaron Carters musical hero?  “ Michael Jackson was always my musical hero, I mean I knew Michael personally. I didn’t just look up to him, I was able to spend time with Michael – watch him swing around alligator tails in his crocodile pits at Neverland. Michael was very fun.”

Curious about the first concert Aaron ever attended, he replied, “The Backstreet Boys,” which Aaron’s older brother, Nick , was a part of.  Aaron said, “My brother and I have a little bit of an underlying competition with each other” he continued “but we love each other and respect each other.”  He described that having his brother in the same industry has made him “...want to work harder and try different things…. I’ve done Broadway twice.”

For someone who is only 26 and had such experience and success as a performing artist, Carter's show is one you are not going to want to to miss!

Aaron Carter's Wonderful World Tour will be coming through Sacramento on Sept. 27th at Assembly, in S.F. on the 28th and in Chico at the El Rey on the 29th. For ticket info visit: aaroncartertour.com.
