“I needed a way to express my views into the universe and music proved the perfect medium.” As a Berklee college of music alumni, having a head filled with knowledge of music theory and business while attending made Coreena feel, ready for the world, but she wasn’t. With a string of ups and downs in her personal and professional life, Coreena ended up feeling and being alone and lost. That's when "the talk" happened... “Why don’t you just produce and do it yourself” said the wise cousin...That’s all Coreena needed to hear. She slowly regained confidence, excitement, focus, and a new skill set for production. First came the job of getting production equipment and learning it, then songwriting, recording, not to mention frilly stuff like pics ;) With these tasks done, Coreena’s first self produced, written and recorded EP was born “The 5th Element” the beginnings of what she is capable of. Some of the songs from the EP and new material is what make her full length debut album "The Haunt" which sounds like a compendium of expressions that weaves in and out of feelings, thoughts, and ideas thru glitches, sound effects, and electronic instruments.
