Traditionally prayer flags are used to promote peace, compassion, strength and wisdom. Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be blown by the wind to spread good will and compassion into all pervading space. Therefore prayer flags are thought to bring benefit to all. Making and hanging prayer flags is a way of speaking an intention out loud and expressing it visually - a way to keep the important things in life within view. The flags can be made using many different supplies and techniques.

All supplies will be provided in class. The class will be at High Sierra Quilters, 1263 Broadway, Placerville.
