The once exclusive Moonraker Brewing Co. has welcomed a second location in Cameron Park—Moonraker Millhouse—and locals are jumping for joy. The menus (both food and drinks) at the family-friendly, well-stocked establishment are extensive and offer something for everyone. On our most recent visit (there have been many!), we tried both the Chicken Sando and BLT Pizza. After ordering at the bar, we picked a table and sipped our suds—Miss Conduct Blonde Ale for me and Dank Suites West Coast IPA for him—while waiting for our grub. My chicken sandwich greeted me with a toasty, golden bun and a ton of fries. The chicken was plentiful and moist with a crispy crunch, and topped simply with lettuce, tomatoes, a pickle, and garlic aioli. Although a little messy toward the end, I gladly licked my fingers clean before stealing a slice of pizza. Let me tell you, I’m never eating a BLT again unless it’s deconstructed on a pizza. Crispy pork belly, roasted tomatoes, arugula, oh my! We quickly bid adieu to that delicious dish as well, and finished off our drinks. For once, we headed home right after, but we normally stay to enjoy the sights and sounds of a packed brewery. Be sure to join them on Tuesdays for Taco Tuesday, trivia on Wednesdays, and live music on select weekends. You’re lucky they’re open seven days a week because you’ll find yourself going back again and again, just like us.
