Q: What makes dark chocolate "healthier" than milk chocolate?
A: Chocolate has been analyzed, studied, and shown to have numerous health benefits. There are other ingredients in it, however, like milk and sugar, that don’t contribute to the true benefits of chocolate. This makes dark chocolate—which is referred to as semi-sweet, bittersweet, extra bittersweet, or pure unsweetened chocolate—healthier than milk chocolate. The higher cocoa percentage, the higher the health benefits.
