I don’t know about you, but I could eat Mexican food every day. Luckily, there’s a place in Folsom that can make it a reality. Taqueria La Fogata has an extensive menu, which means you can order something different every time you go, even if it is every day. I’m a taco fan, so I couldn’t resist trying their Crispy Tacos on my first visit. They do something I absolutely love, too; after they fry up the shell, they sprinkle parmesan all over the outside. In my opinion, it’s the best taco addition ever. I picked grilled chicken for my protein, but other options include shredded chicken, asada, carnitas, chile verde, al pastor, and even lengua (tongue). Top them off with lettuce, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream, and you’ll be muy contenta. They also serve soft tacos, vegetarian tacos, and taco salad. Burrito lovers are in luck, too, as they have several, with the option to make any of them “wet.” Their massive menu also includes quesadillas, enchiladas, tortas, tostadas, soups, an entire section dedicated to seafood, and more. Hungry for breakfast? How about huevos rancheros, huevos con chorizo, or huevos con jamon? There’s literally something for every craving—and for every day of the week!
