New and Coming Soon In October 2022

Uptown Cheapskate—an upscale buy-sell-trade store—is scheduled to open early next year in Roseville’s Rocky Ridge Town Center at 2030 Douglas Boulevard, Suite 47. The shop will offer cash or store credit, on the spot, for gently used men’s and women’s apparel in current styles. They will also carry designer, retro, vintage, and new products. The Dancer’s Pantry (thedancerspantry.com), known for their styled culinary grazing boards, boxes, and bouquets, is opening a storefront at 1226 Gold Express Drive, Suite 203, in Gold River. Slated to open next month, The Dancer’s Pantry Shoppe, will feature thoughtfully curated retail, monthly workshops (including holiday cookie decorating, flower arranging, and cocktail-making classes), and event space rentals. Japanese dessert shop Tokyo Cream (tokyocreamusa.com) opened its doors at 1906 Taylor Road, Suite 110, in Roseville. In addition to specialty coffees like salted caramel and Japanese ube, they also serve boba drinks, croquant choux (a crispy cream puff covered in honey-roasted cashews and filled with fresh vanilla custard cream), and Hokkaido milk soft serve in handmade cookie cones or flavor-packed sundaes.

Revel Folsom (revelfolsom.com), an independent living community at 2075 Iron Point Road, is officially open. In addition to resort-style services (including a heated, indoor saltwater pool, 24-hour concierge, housekeeping, an on-site market, multiple culinary offerings, and complimentary transportation), the stylish apartment homes also feature modern finishes, gourmet kitchens, and washers and dryers.

The region’s premier, locally owned running store, Gold Country Run + Sport (goldcountryrunandsport.com), with locations in El Dorado Hills and Folsom, is opening a third shop at 6835 Lonetree Boulevard in Rocklin this month. In addition to providing complimentary 3D scanning and gait analysis for proper fitting running and walking footwear, the new locale will also sell apparel and accessories and encourage an active, healthy lifestyle through their running community: Gold Country Running + Racing.

Vextor Boba Tea Lounge (vngbobatea.com)—known for their freshly brewed, all-natural, and completely customizable milk teas, slushies, and refresher teas with fun flavors and unique toppings—opened at 4370 Golden Center Drive, Suite C, in Placerville. The shop has an existing location in Jackson.

Cluck N Cone, which serves hand-breaded chicken in waffle cones, including the Millionaire with avocado, ranch dressing, and candied bacon, opened at 1485 Eureka Road in Roseville. In addition to chicken entrées, they also sell ice cream from local favorite Gunther’s. Follow them on Instagram

Red Hawk Casino (redhawkcasino.com) has a new partnership with the Sacramento Kings and is unveiling an exclusive lounge at the Golden 1 Center (golden1center.com) this month. The Club will feature an all-inclusive buffet-style experience with beer and wine, curated farm-to-fork cuisine, and private cocktail tables. Red Hawk also has a new entertainment center, Apex, featuring bowling, a virtual reality arcade, multi-level go-kart track, and a golf simulator. 

Leatherby's Family Creamery (leatherbys.net)—known for their homemade ice cream, sauces, sundaes, crab sandwiches, and other American-style dishes—is opening their fifth location at 2455 Iron Point Road in Folsom early next year.
