Promoting the health and well-being of all older adults throughout the Sacramento region and across Northern California is an important part of Eskaton’s vision of Transforming the Aging Experience. Eskaton’s Community Outreach program provides older adults and their families an extensive library of informational guides, checklists and articles to support them in living well. These resources are designed to help them discover their own needs and preferences and to understand which communities and what services are best suited to meet those requirements. Through quarterly health and wellness initiatives, Eskaton also offers educational materials on fall prevention, nutrition, brain health, emotional well-being and more. We believe that through education, every person, regardless of age, can be empowered to navigate the challenges and changes they face every day.

Eskaton Community Outreach also provides access to a variety of peer and facilitator-led support groups and the Telephone Reassurance program, where trained volunteers from across the country provide friendly, cost-free social calls and wellness checks for older adults living alone, 365 days a year. Our comprehensive program brings people from our community together to share experiences, provide resources and referrals, engage in meaningful relationships and build connections. All resources are offered completely free of charge to all.
