New COVID-19 Vaccination Station Opening In Partnership With Folsom Lake College and Kaiser Permanente
Kaiser
Permanente has received an increased vaccine supply from the state and
has opened a new COVID-19 vaccination clinic in partnership with Folsom
Lake College in Folsom. This site
is offering COVID-19 vaccine appointments to those age 65 and up, health
care workers, educators, and essential workers (food service,
agriculture workers, EMS) per state guidelines. Appointments are
available now; go to kp.org/covidvaccine for
information on eligibility and appointments.
“We are happy to share that the state has increased Kaiser Permanente’s
weekly vaccine allocation to better match the number of members we
serve. We estimate if we have
supply, we could give 3,000 vaccinations a day at the site at Folsom
Lake College and more than 10,000 vaccines a day in greater Sacramento
across our various sites,” said Richard Florio, MD, Physician in Chief,
Kaiser Permanente Roseville. “We encourage people
to visit kp.org/covidvaccine for more information on vaccination.”
“Folsom Lake College is excited to partner with Kaiser Permanente to
host this large-scale COVID-19 vaccination clinic. We are happy that we
can provide the needed facility
space to assist with Kaiser Permanente’s efforts to support the health
and wellness of our region. Getting local residents vaccinated is also
an important step towards getting our students back on campus. We are
proud to be of service to our community,” said
Kristy Hart, Communications & Public Information Officer, Folsom
Lake College.
All vaccinations are by appointment only. No walk-up appointments will be available.
Kaiser Permanente is committed to provide vaccine as quickly and equitably as possible to those who are eligible.
Kaiser Permanente has the capacity to administer 10,000 vaccines a day,
as supplies allow, in the greater Sacramento area across various sites
including Folsom Lake College, Cal Expo, a site
in South Sacramento on Bruceville Road, and Sierra College in Rocklin.
