Surrounded by a century of old buildings and historical markers, The Wine Smith has been noted as the local "Cheers" when visiting downtown Placerville. This historic site has been a favorite since it became a wine and beer boutique with its origins estimated at thirty years. The wine and beer boutique has been noted in many articles and books.

The Wine Smith continues to add to its new and upcoming list of local and regional wines and beer and  highlights many of the wines of El Dorado, Amador, Mr Aukum and Fairplay. Featured wines vary daily or weekly as new assorted wines keep "pouring in" and help to adjust the wine offerings. The Wine Smith also does daily pours including wine tastings with cheese and chocolate that complements families and tourists new to the area.  Many boutique items prevail from aprons to glassware. 

The Wine Smith makes it easy to pick up a bottle for the evening.
