Raise your hand if a deli sandwich is one of your top choices for lunch. Or dinner. Or a snack. There are always places to grab a sandwich, but when you find that perfect deli with outstanding customer service, you know you’ve hit the sandwich jackpot. Fisher’s Sandwich Shop is a clear winner and one you need to try ASAP. Art and Carmen Fisher, along with their kids, run three, successful local delis (Roseville, Rocklin, and Antelope). If you’re lucky enough to have their son Alex help you, you’ll walk out with a smile on your face and a delicious sandwich in your hand. They pride themselves on serving the finest quality meats and ingredients, including Certified Angus Beef and fresh, homemade aioli, and horseradish. Bread is baked fresh daily, and soups and salads are also offered along with a kid’s menu. Interestingly, some of their sandwiches are named after family members, like Lexy’s Cali Hot Pastrami (Pastrami, bacon, cream cheese, avocado. Yum!), and Andrew’s BLT. One is even named after their dog, Maxx, which has Certified Angus roast beef, bbq sauce, and cheddar cheese. You can also build your own sandwich, which is what I did. Dutch crunch roll, turkey, and, of course, their amazing aioli, which Alex had made that morning. It was pure perfection. Next time I’m getting the tri-tip sandwich which is a top seller.
