Cameron Park Community Services District: Hot August Nights

Although summer is coming to a close, there’s still plenty of fun activities on tap.

Trucks and Tunes continues at Christa McAuliffe Park on August 8 from 5-8:30 p.m. featuring tasty eats from a variety of food trucks, live music from Encore, kids’ crafts, vendors, and more.

The final round of summer kids’ camps includes a kiddie horse day camp, equestrian day camp, youth volleyball camp, last chance swim lessons and more. Adults can join in on the action with a basketball league, drop-in sports at the gym, or classes in chair yoga, tai chi, ballroom dance, classical guitar, CPR, hunter safety, and Zumba

Cameron Park Lake is open for swimming until August 5, along with boat rentals, pickleball, and tennis.

On August 2, seniors (ages 55+) are invited to the CSD for a special senior lunch hosted by Ponte Palmero at noon. On August 20, guest speaker Jennifer Cullen will share information about senior services offered in El Dorado County along with information on how to age well and take care of elderly family members.

Cameron Park CSD’s Laps at the Lake and Pooch Plunge is scheduled for August 11. Enjoy a walk with your furry friend at 9:30 a.m., followed by the plunge at 10 a.m. Food, vendors, and raffle prizes are also part of the fun.
