Summer’s here…and so is a plethora of live music at local outdoor venues. Grab your calendar and make note of the various concert series happening all season long! The El Dorado Hills Community Services District's Summer Concert in the Park runs on select Fridays through August, with local band Clean Slate taking the stage July 20. The free concert is held at the EDH Community Park and offers food for purchase, a bounce house, and other children's activities. "Our free concert series at the CSD is the best venue in El Dorado Hills to enjoy entertainment in a fun, safe, and family-friendly environment," explains Michael Cottrell of the EDH CSD. Lava Cap Winery's Summer Music Series begins July 14 and continues every Saturday from 4-8 p.m. through the end of the month. Artists include Late for Dinner, EZ Street Band, and Roharpo and the Bluesman; guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets, and picnics, but there’s open seating as well as deli items and wine available for purchase in the tasting room. "Direct support of a local agriculture business like ours allows us to play a greater role in programs such as Ag in the Classroom and Mother Lode Rehabilitation Enterprises (MORE). It’s an awesome way for families and friends to spend summer evenings," explains Kevin Jones of Lava Cap Winery. Additional concert series include the admission-free Live on the Boulevard at Steven Young Amphitheater in the El Dorado Hills Town Center every Thursday through September 13 from 7-9 p.m., Helwig @ Dusk every Friday through September starting at 6:30 p.m. at Helwig Winery ($5 cover charge), Second Saturday Concerts at the Shingle Springs Community Center through September at 7 p.m. ($10 cover charge), Sunset Sippin' at Boeger Winery every Friday through August from 6-9 p.m., and Music in the Courtyard at The Cary House Courtyard in Placerville every other Saturday through September from 2-5 p.m.
