A large bowl of aromatic beef broth—loaded with vermicelli noodles, thinly sliced rare beef and brisket, onions, scallions, and cilantro—went from good to un-pho-gettable after adding in the crunchy bean sprouts, Thai basil, jalapeños, and fresh lime that was served alongside the bowl.”
