Dr. Brad Cahoon and the entire team at Veterinary Healing Centers would like to thank the readers of Style magazine and our wonderful clientele for voting us your #1 Best Veterinary Practice and #1 Best Veterinarian for the third consecutive year!

Dr. Cahoon is the sole owner/operator of the Veterinary Healing Centers, with locations in both Folsom and El Dorado Hills. He graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987, and opened his first practice in El Dorado Hills 1 year later. Together the VHC team has experience in wellness care, emergency medicine, dentistry, digital radiography, ultrasound, dermatology, general surgery, and pain management.  Over the past 30 years, Dr. Cahoon’s expertise as an animal doctor has evolved significantly.  In 2013 he made the decision to expand his skills as an integrative practitioner and received his certification as a veterinary acupuncturist. As a result, the past 4 years at Veterinary Healing Centers have seen an exciting integration of Western treatments with modalities in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. The VHC team has been thrilled to see positive results in many of their patients with the use of acupuncture, Chinese herbal treatments, laser therapy, IV Vitamin C, and most recently, Cancer Immunotherapy, Platelet Rich Plasma, and Stem Cell Therapy. These alternative treatments have become an integral part of the well-rounded care they offer your pet.

The team at VHC continues to educate themselves to better care for your four-legged family members. They strive to provide well-rounded and personalized care to all of the animals they treat. Their mission is to make their clients feel like family and treat every pet as if it is their own.
