Get to Know Alex Rue of Roseville

Aug 29, 2017 02:42PM ● By Style

Alex Rue, local resident and recent recipient of the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2017 Young Professional of the Year Award–an accolade given to someone who shows prosperity and creativity in their business, as well as someone who serves as a role model for other local young professionals—is quick to thank his support system. “Both my parents and my wife have been there to cheer me on and help me succeed and move forward in life,” he says.

His experience as a small business owner (in 2010, he opened an independent insurance agency from the ground up) allowed him to serve as chair for Roseville Chamber’s Ignite Young Professionals—the region’s premier social organization that’s focused on fostering lifelong relationships between business-minded individuals. Currently, he serves on Ignite’s leadership council. “It’s a great group of [people] and a fantastic way to get plugged in and involved in the community,” explains Rue.

In addition to supporting his peers, Rue has also volunteered with Leadership Roseville, where he helped teach high school students about financial literacy. Whether via his job, community or family, he thrives on aiding others. “I really want to help people get the right tools to help them succeed both personally and professionally.”   —Emily Peter
