The El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce and the Sacramento Running Association are proud to launch the Gold Country Half Marathon and 5K on June 11. The event also includes a kids’ run and will showcase the beauty of El Dorado Hills. “This is a great opportunity to come together as a community and show why El Dorado Hills is one of the best places in America to live—beautiful landscapes, a healthy and active community, and great local businesses!” explains Sacramento Running Association Executive Director Scott Abbott. Beginning and ending at the El Dorado Hills Town Center, it also features a finisher’s festival for participants with food, beer and wine tasting, and live music. Tickets are $85 for the half marathon, $40 for the 5K, and $10 for the kids’ run (prices increase by $5 after June 8) and include a finisher’s medal and ASICS T-shirt. What’s more, the event benefits 3Strands Global Foundation—a local nonprofit that fights human trafficking. Get up, get moving, and take part in this inaugural event!
