Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

Before I moved to Folsom, I was the owner of Shannon’s Lake Tahoe Day Spa. My clients who used to come to Tahoe for services begged me to open a shop down here, so I opened a small boutique skin care business on Sutter Street and was introduced to body sugaring by my colleagues in the beauty industry.  I fell in love with how smooth my skin was after a sugaring treatment and how much less it hurt than wax.  I knew that if I loved to be sugared, my clients would be grateful if I mastered the technique, too. I never dreamed that hair removal would become the service I became known for in the Sacramento area.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

We are proud that we won for best waxing category in KCRA’s A-List—and we don’t wax, we sugar!  Our staff is all licensed and certified in their craft—be it sugaring, lash extensions, facials or massage.  Our skin care specialists, Tiffany and Ashley, personalize their treatments to clients' specific needs and focus on results.  Our massage therapist, Julie, is a true bodywork therapist.  She is sought out by locals to investigate their chronic problems and help them alleviate pain.

What’s your biggest job perk?

Our awesome clients and getting to make people happy every day.  One of our clients told me she refers to us as the Steel Magnolias of Folsom, because of our friendly environment and genuine care for people.  What a compliment! 

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

We're  looking forward to our new neighbor, Out of Bounds Brewing Company, to be our new favorite spot to eat and have a delicious cold craft beer. We love supporting the local community and its business owners; plus, to sit by a fire pit and have delicious libations will be fun!
