Brave a Shave for Kids with Cancer

Looking for something to do this St. Paddy’s Day? You’re in luck! We’ve got parades, parties and gorgeous green manicures lined up for you. 


The Monk's Cellar

The Monk’s Cellar. Celebrate a traditional St. Patrick’s Day with live music and bagpipes from Riggity Jig, along with a special Irish red ale, and a menu featuring corned beef and cabbage, Irish stew and other favorites. The party is all day on March 17; music begins at 5:30 p.m.  


St. Patrick’s Day Live Auction and Dinner. The Kiwanis Club of Rocklin Foundation is hosting a dinner that doubles as a fund-raiser on March 11 from 5:30-10 p.m. at the Rocklin Community Center. Enjoy a night of fun and laughter with St. Patrick’s Day-themed food. Proceeds will benefit Rocklin and Loomis schools. 916-315-8699


The Flower Farm. Irish fare and brews will be served in the café all weekend long, with live bagpipe performances by Jason Briggs from noon to 2 p.m. on March 17 and 19. Drop by the nursery to do some spring shopping, too! 


The Boxing Donkey. Opening at 6 a.m. on March 17, there will be live music (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.) and an extended beer garden. The menu will include St. Patrick's Day-inspired eats like corned beef tacos . You can also get your photo taken with a donkey! 


Brave a Shave for Kids with Cancer. Shave your head, volunteer or donate at the Westfield Galleria in Roseville for St. Baldrick’s Foundation’s event on March 4 from noon to 4 p.m., which raises funds for childhood cancer research. 


St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Don’t miss this parade on March 18 in Old Sacramento, where you’ll be treated to scores of costumed marchers dressed in green, along with Irish and Highland dancers in Celtic costumes, bagpipers and drum bands, historic reenactors and more. The parade starts at 1 p.m. Entertainment and other activities begin at noon. 


Shamrock’n Weekend. Support cancer survivors from Triumph Cancer Foundation at Raley Field on March 11 and 12 with a half marathon, 5K, 10K and kids’ half-mile dash where they’ll chase a leprechaun! Participants will receive complimentary beers, River Cats game tickets, a T-shirt, prizes and more. 


T Nails. Get into the festive spirit by getting green nails with a decorative design at T Nails in Rocklin. 916-632-1904


Whole Foods Market. Eat and drink your way through St. Patrick’s Day with corned beef delicacies and lots of Guinness goodness from Whole Foods Market. 


Randy Peters Catering and Event Center. Throw a party and let Randy Peters Catering do the cooking! They’ll make a mouthwatering, Irish-inspired menu of soda bread, shepherd’s pie, bacon and cabbage stew, Irish cream cheesecake and more.
