Friends of the Library Book Sale
December 3  //  Main Library in Placerville

This monthly fund-raiser—hosted by the Placerville Chapter of Friends of the Library (FOL)—included a used book sale that was donation based and completely staffed by volunteers. All proceeds went to FOL, which in turn, helps to subsidize the library’s budget for new books and other items.

Breakfast with Santa
December 3  //  EDHCSD Gym, El Dorado Hills 

Over 450 attendees—including kids dressed in Christmas pajamas—enjoyed pancakes, sausage, orange juice, milk and coffee; while little ones visited with Santa and made holiday-themed arts and crafts.

Head to Toe Holiday Fashion Show and Auction
December 3  //  Virtual Academy High School, El Dorado

This third annual event benefited Virtual Academy High School and Hope House, a charity for homeless women and children. Local boutiques provided clothes and accessories for the fashion show, and prizes and giveaways were offered for those who brought the most guests.
