Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

We’ve always had clothing in our ranch store, but it was mixed in and lacked flow—sometimes next to feedbags or chicken supplies. We felt like it was intruding on the feed store. One day, our dad started cleaning the storage area in order to lease it out again. I suggested we expand and move the clothing to its own space—the former storage area. The next day, he was ripping out ceilings and floors; five months later, we had Lees’ boutique.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

We have five women, including Tegan and myself, who love fashion and helping women feel beautiful in their clothing. All of us take the time to help customers pick out outfits, bring sizes and help accessorize outfits…with a smile.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

I turn to the three most important men in my life: my husband, who always grounds me and gives me solid advice; my dad, with whom I usually see eye-to-eye with on most things; and my brother, who’s always straightforward.

What’s your biggest job perk?

Since we opened our boutique a year-and-a-half ago, Tegan and I have not had to shop anywhere else. We try to hold off for a week after a new item comes in, but if it’s still there after, it’s ours!

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Well, it’s not quite eating out, but Urban Yogurt in Shingle Springs—coconut or banana!

And finally, customer service is…?

Everything! Anybody can sell clothing, but it’s the service that sets us apart. Helping women shop is the best part of our job.

Do you know that our editorial is not paid for, nor can it be purchased? In fact, our Introducing and Dine reviews are not paid advertisements. Once we determine when your business will be featured, we will contact you to schedule a time to come out and take a photograph. Thank you!
