Fun for All at Folsom Parks and Recreation

Looking for ways to keep your family entertained this summer? Check out these fun activities and events presented by Folsom Parks and Recreation:


Summer Concerts in the Park: Fridays

June 3-July 29

Pack a picnic and head to Folsom City Lions Park on Friday evenings at 7 p.m. for free open-air concerts. The lineup includes rock, country, blues, reggae and a Johnny Cash tribute band.


Story Time at the Zoo

June 23, July 28 and August 25

Little ones will enjoy learning about animals through stories featuring zoo puppets, and they’ll meet a live zoo animal. Story time is held at 10:30 a.m. on the zoo’s outdoor canid deck; free with regular zoo admission.


Food Truck Safari

June 15, July 20 and August 17

SactoMoFo food trucks roll into Folsom City Lions Park from 5-8 p.m. at this monthly event; live music, bounce houses and other entertainment rounds out the fun. 


Little Dippers: Fridays

June 3-August 5

Increase little one’s (ages six and under with parental supervision) water confidence in a calm environment at this program from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Folsom Aquatic Center’s Activity Pool. 

 

Giant Inflatables at the Folsom Aquatic Center: Daily

Thru September 5

The giant floating obstacle course provides hours of nonstop fun with slides, rope swings and an assortment of balancing and climbing obstacles. Purchase a one-day inflatables access wristband for $3 (daily Aquatic Center admission extra); open from 1-6 p.m.


Folsom’s Wacky Dash

August 6

This family-friendly event is sure to please kids of all ages—and those young at heart! The course includes giant inflatable obstacles, mud pits, foam tunnels and an assortment of wild and crazy fun surprises.
