Christmas Craft and Art Faire
November 28-29 / Gold Country Fairgrounds, Auburn
Auburn’s annual Christmas Craft and Art Faire featured more than 100 regional artisans and food vendors, as well as food trucks, live music by Hans Anderson and Mike Wooding, holiday photo sessions by Bella B Photography and entertainment by Ray-Ray The Clown. Proceeds from the event were donated to local charities in Placer County and Nevada County.

Orange is the New Pink 5K Walk for Breast Cancer
December 6 / Mandarin Hill Orchards, Penryn
This breast cancer fund-raising walk was part of the fourth annual Mountain Mandarin Growers’ Association’s (MMGA) Orchard Days, which takes place the first and third weekend in December at MMGA member orchards throughout Placer County. Meant to raise awareness and funds, all proceeds benefited the Placer Breast Cancer Foundation.

Christmas Carnival and Candlelight Showcase
December 5 / Crestmont Elementary, Roseville
Sierra Pregnancy and Health (SPH) joined Royal Stage Christian Performing Arts for this carnival, where SPH offered free family photos to thank the community for their continued support. SPH is a nonprofit offering no-cost services and support to women facing unplanned pregnancy in Placer County; Royal Stage focuses on dance and theatrical training and works with sex trafficking survivors and overcomers of abuse.

Twenty wineries along the Placer County Wine Trail opened their doors for a self-guided tour that included complimentary wine tasting (with a toy donation for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation). Attendance was estimated at 500 people, meaning over 500 toys, making it the single largest source of toy donations in the region. All toys were distributed within Placer County.
4. Holiday revelers enjoy some winter red wine at Lone Buffalo Vineyards in Auburn 3. Robyn Byrnes, Alea Alyson and Jenna Brackett at Vina Castellano Winery in Auburn 2. Event attendees at Cante Ao Vinho in Rocklin 1. Attendees share holiday cheer at Pescatore Winery in Newcastle
