Around this time every year, the landscape of our idyllic little mountain town transitions into inspiring yellows, crisp oranges and fiery reds. Kids spend their pent-up energy conquering mountains of colorful leaves, while parents spend their time raking them back together. What better way to celebrate the changing seasons than by signing up for an art class through the City of Placerville?

Those interested in photography should register for Photography 102: Getting off Auto. Taught by experienced instructor and photographer Stephanie Gabler, this class is designed to get you past the basics of photography when using a digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera.

At Art Sparks! Mixed Media Experiences, taught by Alison Tomei, attendees will explore their artistic spark through collage, paint, mark making, color play and more—all while Alison helps guide and inspire you to develop your personal creative practice.

Debbie Trapasso will instruct classes on art glass fusion as students create an individualized weaved basket glass plate in Fun with Fusing. In Fun with Glass, learn the fundamentals of glass jewelry design by creating two glass pendants. No experience is necessary, and the finished products make great holiday gifts or accent pieces!
