Exciting Events Happening at Maidu Museum & Historic Site in June

Sit under the stars at our outdoor amphitheater to enjoy native stories around the campfire. We’ll provide roasting sticks and marshmallows for a sweet program’s end. Museum doors open at 7pm. Program starts at 7:30pm. $5 per person, $16 family of four, under 2 are FREE.
Night Out at the Museum: Please join Maidu for a Night Out at the Museum on Saturday, June 20, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Opening reception for Decolonizing Feminine Finery: Taking Back Cultural Art, Regalia and NDN Female Power, a new exhibit of contemporary California Indian jewelry, sculptures, paintings, and photographs by Tiffany Adams (Chemehuevi/Konkow/Nisenan Maidu). Museum doors open at 6:30 p.m. Program starts at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be available. FREE event.

Contemporary jewelry, sculptures, paintings, and photographs by local Native American artist Tiffany Adams. Tiffany Adams is a
Chemehuevi tribal member from Lake Havasu and is also Konkow and
Nisenan Maidu from the Sierra foothills in Northern California.
She is a contributing editor of News From Native California and the President of the Native American Club of Sierra College.
