Describe your business.

Blacktop Comedy brings the best improv comedy to Rocklin every Friday and Saturday night! Placer County residents don’t have to drive to Sacramento anymore for great entertainment—live comedy is in our backyard. It’s the perfect date night or evening out with friends.


I shredded papers for a local company. I learned that I don’t want to shred papers for any company and that beige is a really boring color to stare at all day.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

We love our community and making people laugh. We help create, host, donate and perform for local organizations. This past year we had the opportunity to help the Placer Food Bank, Lighthouse Counseling & Family Resource Center, Roseville Community Preschool and more. We love to help anyone who’s looking for a unique fundraiser.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

Our staff makes you feel at home. At Blacktop, you’re with friends.

Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?

My parents. They are some of the strongest, focused and most intelligent people I know; their success reminds me that hard work pays off.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Prime Wok Express, Arigato Sushi, Sabores Mexican Cuisine, and Bambu Desserts and Drinks.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

We love going to the movies, on walks or to bookstores. I know what you’re thinking, “This guy really lives on the edge.”

If you could be any other profession, what would it be?

A math teacher.
