Funeral services for Placer County Sheriff's Detective Michael D. Davis, Jr., are being held Tuesday,  November 4, at 10 a.m. at Adventure Christian Church in Roseville. The service is open to the public. Media will not be allowed inside the church; however, pool coverage will be available.

Adventure Christian Church is located at 6401 Stanford Ranch Road, Roseville. The public is welcome to a closed-casket viewing of Detective Davis on Saturday and Sunday, November 1 and 2, from 4-9 p.m. at Chapel of the Valley, 97 Vernon Street, Roseville.

Friday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m., the public and the media are invited to observe the arrival of the U.S. Honor Flag at the Sacramento International Airport. The Placer County Sheriff's Office, along with other honor guard teams, are greatly honored to be receiving this flag. For more on the flag, go to ushonorflag.org. This special flag has attended most funerals throughout the U.S. for every military, fire and law enforcement funeral where heroes have given the ultimate sacrifice since Sept. 11, 2001.

The flag will be brought out to Terminal B by the shuttles, where the public can view it as it's carried through the terminal. A procession will follow, from the airport to Chapel of the Valley in Roseville where the flag will be placed next to Detective Davis.

The Placer County Sheriff's Office and the Placer 10-35 Foundation have established an official donation account for the family of Detective Davis. Donations can be sent to: Wells Fargo Bank, Attn: Detective Michael Davis Jr., Benefit Memorial Fund. The account number is 2348924032. Checks can be sent to 3680 Taylor Road, Loomis, CA, 95650.

Online donations are being accepted at Placer1035Foundation.org. This is the only official donation account for the Davis' family.
