Feed My Starving Children MobilePack™ Returning to Rocklin October 23-25

For the fifth year, hundreds of volunteers from the community will gather to pack meals for malnourished children around the world.

The Placer/Sacramento Feed My Starving Children MobilePack event will take place October 23-25, at William Jessup University in Rocklin.

Throughout the past four years, volunteers at this annual MobilePack have hand-packed more than 1.8 million meals for starving children around the world. Last year, more than 270,000 meals were shipped to the Philippines—arriving after the devastating typhoon and aiding that country’s pressing needs. Organizers are hoping to pack at least 300,000 meals this year.

“We are very excited to pack hundreds of thousands of meals again this year,” said Mike Gebhardt, chair of the organizing committee. “Each meal we pack impacts the life of a child in dire need. Our team is working now to raise money so that we can pay and pack as many meals as possible.”

Feed My Starving Children, an international organization, coordinates MobilePack events around the United States where volunteers combine and package ingredients scientifically formulated to address the needs of malnourished children. Feed My Starving Children calls the meals MannaPacks™—each meal costs just 22 cents.
