Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

The ART of Forgiveness, certified life coach for women, believes in starting with forgiveness first. Once we remove this barrier, we can begin to heal in all other areas of our lives. It’s something that has always been in my heart. I incorporate creative self-expression into the healing process of forgiveness. We all have someone or something to forgive, including ourselves—from childhood and divorce to grief and more. Forgiveness is taking your power back and redirecting it into something positive. Forgiveness changes everything and is the ultimate act of self-love. I offer one free session.

What was the first job you ever had, and what did you learn from the experience?

I worked at a childcare facility for preschoolers and learned that children truly know the key to life: to be free, full of energy and experience joy all the time!

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

Straight to my pastels—it’s the best outlet.

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

Helen Keller—she always thought outside of her conditions. Instead of focusing on limitations, she used her willingness to propel herself forward and in doing so, she accomplished so much. She’s a beautiful demonstration of believing in yourself, regardless of life’s conditions. Each morning I read Helen Keller’s pledge: “I am only one but still I am one. I cannot do everything but still I can do something. Because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something I can do. Everything begins with a single effort.”

What’s your favorite local event that you go to?

All of the events and concerts at the El Dorado Hills Town Center—it’s great family entertainment and is very close to home. We love going to the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary as well.
