Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

It has been quite a journey to arrive where I am now. When I was about 15 years old I saw the movie Breaking Away and it had a profound impact on me. I was already a successful swimmer and had a good engine for cycling, however, it was the bicycles themselves that inspired me. The best of them were handcrafted in Italy, incredibly light, extremely functional, yet astonishingly beautiful. Those qualities are the foundation for my business. I am now combining all of my skill sets – including 15 years in the high-tech industry and my longtime love of photography – to create a new kind of business model. All the bicycles and wheels I sell are custom, using the finest products and materials in the world. With a huge emphasis on client satisfaction, when a customer walks through my door, it will be unlike any bike purchase they’ve ever made. I work one-on-one with each client by interviewing them, measuring them, and then designing a frame based on all data available to me. That design is then sent to Master Frame Builder Enrico Sarto in Northern Italy for final approval. After, a one-of-a-kind, hand-built, carbon fiber racing frame arrives at my shop within 30 days, and the bike is assembled to fanatical standards of workmanship. Every bicycle I sell is a unique expression of the client; in addition, these bikes are a compelling combination of art and unyielding technical prowess.

What’s your biggest job perk?

Working on the finest bicycles and products in the world, and helping people realize their cycling dreams.

And finally, customer service is…?

Customer service is the most important aspect of my business. Technical excellence is expected, but taking care of my clients is my number one priority.
