Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

Stella and Dot is an exclusive jewelry and accessories line sold online and through in-home trunk shows. As a personal stylist, I bring the jewelry directly to you. Instead of being behind a glass case, the pieces are there to be touched and tried on; invite over a few friends, play dress-up, and earn hundreds of dollars in free jewelry. Stella and Dot found me through a mom at my daughter’s preschool.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

Each year, Stella and Dot highlights a cause with a commemorative piece of jewelry. This enables me to fundraise with local organizations directly tied to the cause.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

My greatest accomplishments are my three beautiful children.

Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?

My mom is my role model in life – she taught me what it means to give your children the best life possible; my dad is my role model in business – his dedication and work ethic inspire me to continue striving for success.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

Into a hot bubble bath!

What’s your biggest job perk?

There’s too many to choose just one! The flexibility, the interaction with other women, and getting to wear beautiful jewelry would be my top three.

What is your favorite place to eat out locally?

Mikuni Sushi.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

We head to The Fountains at Roseville almost every Friday night. It’s the perfect place to eat and entertain the kids.

If you could be any other profession, what would it be?

Before becoming a mom and an independent stylist, I was a junior high school math teacher. If I had to choose, I would love to be in the classroom again.

And finally, customer service is…?

The most important part of my job!
