Featuring a perfect balance between casual and gourmet, Selland’s Market-Cafe in El Dorado Hills offers something for everyone.

Conveniently located on Town Center Boulevard, this new restaurant is sure to become a haven for both foodies and families alike.

With their “farm to table” philosophy, you’ll find delicious homemade food – ranging from sandwiches to homemade pizzas and salads to classic dinner entrées – all made from fresh, local ingredients. Indeed, there’s a dish to satisfy every appetite.

My family enjoyed dinner at the restaurant recently, and without a doubt we’ll be back soon. As we entered, a large open dining area and long row of deli cases filled with a gorgeous variety of fresh and tempting food greeted us. We began on one end, where the warm food was ready to become the centerpiece of our dinner. My husband chose the Panko Crusted Salmon Filet and I was drawn to the Chicken Breast with Mushrooms, which was roasted then served in a Sherry cream sauce. We added a side of roasted vegetables (broccoli on this particular night) and mashed potatoes with gravy. Both meals were cooked to perfection and incredibly flavorful.

Of course we couldn’t leave without taking a peek at the dessert counter. As an experienced baker and dessert lover, I tend to have a critical eye toward most “store bought” desserts, but Selland’s sweet selections won me over immediately! I questioned the hostess as to various ingredients in some of them, and quickly learned that these were not your average restaurant desserts…they are truly homemade. My husband and I enjoyed the flawless Coconut Macaroon and delicious Banana Cream Tart; both gained our seal of approval, and I’ve been craving them ever since!

Whether you want to grab a meal to go, enjoy lunch with a friend, or have dinner and wine with a loved one, Selland’s Market-Cafe is a delicious new addition to El Dorado Hills.
