Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

I’m a manicurist. I do pedicures, manicures, gel polish manicures and acrylics! Ever since I was 16 years old, I wanted to do nails.

What was the first job you ever had, and what did you learn from the experience?

Making and selling cookies – I learned I had to work to purchase the things my parents couldn’t buy me.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

I rent my spot at the Hair Plus Centre and the ladies I work with are great. We get along well and help each other build our clientele. I love them!

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

My two boys, getting my license to be a manicurist, and singing at my church for 13 years.

What’s your hidden talent?

Singing.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Casa Ramos.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

Bowling and to the movies.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

When I saw my dad’s truck coming up the driveway with my first pony in the back!

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

I’d love to meet Martina McBride. She has an amazing voice and seems very down to earth.

What’s your favorite local event that you go to?

I like going out and listening to local bands.

If you could be any other profession what would it be?

A profiler for the FBI.

And finally, customer service is…?

Making sure my clients are happy with their nails, and doing the best job I can by using products that are not illegal in California. I guarantee my nails won’t lift for two weeks, and I use Gelish polish, which stays on for up to three weeks without chipping; also, my clients leave with their nails completely dry!
