Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

I never imagined owning my own business, but in order to take care of my clients how I saw fit, I decided to become a fully independent financial advisor…despite the odds against me as a young woman.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

I have been a member of the Loomis Basin Horseman’s Association (LBHA) for 14 years. LBHA is a local non-profit organization that promotes the preservation of the rural lifestyle of the foothills.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

In an industry that is all about the selling of products, I choose to slow it down and listen. What might be right for several of my clients might not be best for you. I don’t have a cookie-cutter approach. The best money managers on Wall Street can require you to have over 10 million dollars before they talk to you, but by doing business with me, you get access to them with as little as $25,000.

Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?

Ben Franklin accomplished more than anyone else I know of. He was so savvy in the ways of business/entrepreneurship, discovery, science, government, diplomacy and politics. He was a student his whole life and a social genius when it came to popularity. He helped build what the U.S. is today in more ways than we’ll ever realize.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

That’s easy, Lorenzo’s Mexican Restaurant in Loomis. I worked there as a waitress through college and ate their food all the time. The menu hasn’t changed in 10 years, yet I still can’t get enough!

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

Folsom Lake is always a blast. Whether you’re in a boat or on the beach, you can’t help but relax and let the events of the prior week float by.
