Pizza always sounds appetizing. Whether it’s early in the morning and you’re leaving the house in a hurry or late at night and you’re craving a midnight snack, pizza has continually proven itself as being a simple yet satisfying meal – no matter the time of day.

While enjoying the afternoon off, I followed my senses to Brick Oven Pub where the selection for pizza is more than basic. Given the choice of creating many different combinations with their wide range of toppings as well as zesty red or green pesto sauces, I opted for Brick Oven’s

Pizza Bread topped with red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, black olives and spinach. After ordering from the bar and helping myself to the easily accessible refreshments, I sat myself in the spacious dining area near the front.

Waiting in anticipation to try something new, I dove right in as soon as the meal was at my table. The bread was light and crisp, piled high and thick with fresh toppings and melted cheese. Their signature Pizza Bread had a style similar to a French bread pizza, in that it was cut in straight-across pieces as opposed to slices. My dining partners, who decided on a house salad and the Pastrami Reuben stuffed with sauerkraut, were just as satisfied with their orders.. Especially enjoyable were the homemade croutons that garnished the salad, giving it the perfect crunch.

Focusing more on what we were devouring rather than talking, it wasn’t long before we finished. After taking a second look at the menu and appreciating the causal atmosphere, I decided that this would not be my last visit to Brick Oven Pub!
