Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

My business is about fitness and allover health. When you take care of your body, your life has a better quality, your self-esteem elevates and you are open to embrace and recognize the positives that come your way. When you are healthy, you can keep a “pulse” on your lifestyle – welcoming the things that seem to work for you. In my business, I help the client to find/see a solution.

I love my job and I think we found each other! I have loved sports and athleticism for as long as I can remember, yet my passion is helping others discover their athletic talent.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

I do motivational speaking for various clubs and organizations where I discuss the benefits of proper nutrition and fitness to match your lifestyle. I also host seminars and workshops on wellness. In 2010, I started/founded my first non-profit organization: Connect 4 a Cure (connect4acure.org).

I love bringing pro athletes and icons on wellness into the Folsom/Sacramento area to speak to my clients and the community. I had Dr. John Gray, author of Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus in my studio two years ago and he spoke to an audience of 70 people on the physiological differences between men and women. It was awesome.

Connect 4 a Cure’s first event was cycling in Placer County benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Children’s Cancer Community. Our guest was Chris Carmichael, personal coach for Lance Armstrong. I have also had the pleasure of being on the bikeauburn.com committee, working as a PR media representative for the Amgen Tour of California committee in Auburn. I assisted Auburn in becoming a start city for the 2011 tour.

And finally, customer service is…?

Paying attention and listening to what the client has to say. Too many times a business tries to get you to buy into their program. I find that a program works best when it is in partnership with the goals and needs of the client...a perfect formula for success!
