Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

I purchased the site in 1984 and designed and equipped it to create the “ultimate full-service beauty salon.” We have a fabulous facial room, a private pedicure room with a spa chair, massage room, and a main salon with three stations. It’s very light, airy and warm.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

I am involved in the community through the local chamber of commerce, Soroptimist club, and hospice; also, I volunteer whenever I can.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

I cannot say enough how proud I am of every member of my staff – not only on their individual qualifications but also their camaraderie and the happiness they bring to the business daily. With 54 years in the business, THIS is the best team ever.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

My three daughters, my career, and my life in the U.S.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

Dancing or to lunch with my friends.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Sequoia.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

To each other’s homes or to The Wine Smith.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

Family picnics; days on the beach; and the Beatles at the Cavern Club.

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be?

Nelson Mandela.　

If you could be any other profession what would it be?

After doing the same work for 54 years, I am so grateful to have a career that I love as much now as I did 54 years ago – maybe even more now!

We not only make our clients feel and look more beautiful, but we also give them a feeling of complete well-being from head to toe – leaving them with a big smile on their faces and ours too!
