As a proud Mexican food addict, I was ecstatic to see a new authentic restaurant open on the corner block of Natoma Station Drive and Coloma Street.

La Rosa Blanca caught my eye with its large wraparound patio and full parking lot. For dinner one evening, we decided to check it out in hopes of some delicious south-of-the-border grub. Walking up, I could see a great number of diners in the outdoor seating area, talking and dining on a perfect Folsom night. As we entered, my eyes were amazed more at the very festive, colorful and traditional decor throughout the space.

As we munched on our chips and salsa, I skimmed the huge menu to see some of my favorite authentic dishes. I decided on the Beef Fajitas topped with onions, bell peppers, tomatoes served with refried beans and rice. As we anticipated our meals’ arrival, the owner greeted us as she made her rounds, stopping to thank us for coming in. I don’t know about you, but there is nothing more irritating than a rude or unwelcoming server while dining out. On this particular night, it was very refreshing to learn that not only was there another place for good Mexican food in town, but that they have a great staff too.

Our food arrived shortly and as we ate, I noticed that the place started to fill even more. It seemed as if the whole neighborhood knew about this eatery!

With its traditional, colorful decor and friendly atmosphere, La Rosa Blanca will fill you up and make you want to return. With locations in Sacramento, the Folsom location is now hopping with live music on select nights throughout the week…so grab a friend and get your salsa on!
