Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

We are a children’s dental office. I had been an associate dentist for a decade and Magic Smiles was my opportunity to realize my vision of community dentistry.

What was your first job, and what did you learn from the experience?

Penguin’s Yogurt. I learned that hard work and humor was the way to a happy work place.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

We support our children in all ways that they ask; we sponsor teams, clubs and schools. We also do an annual charity event, “Smiles for Kids,” which generates thousands of dollars to help children facing life-threatening illnesses.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

My staff is loving, dedicated and totally committed to creating the “Magic Smiles” experience. We strive for a Disneyland-style, fun-filled day.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

My two amazing children.

What’s your hidden talent?

I can do the splits.

What’s your biggest job perk?

I get to play with all the office toys and meet new children all day.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Jack’s Urban Eats.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

Monster Mini Golf, El Dorado Hills Regal Movie Theater, Sky High, and Broadstone Racquet Club.

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

JK Rowling – her books are so amazing and have helped so many children to develop a love of reading.

What’s your favorite local event that you go to?

All El Dorado Musical Theatre shows...Wow!

And finally, customer service is…?

The ultimate achievement...excellent gentle, loving support is the only thing a child deserves. The precious trust, which our children give to us, is a gift that we strive to return every time we take care of them.
