Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

I have always loved budgeting and saving money – so it just seemed natural to help my friends and family with their personal finances. Believe it or not, taxes found me. I was employed as a bookkeeper when I was sent to “tax school” in order to help review business tax returns. It turned out that I loved it so much, I not only got my California license (CRTP) with CTEC, but a year later I passed the Enrolled Agent test that enables me to prepare taxes anywhere in the United States as well as represent clients in front of the IRS.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

I am proud of putting myself through college while working full time and still finishing my degree in business administration in four years. I am also proud of passing both the CRTP and Enrolled Agent tests.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

We love the Diamond Springs Hotel. They have such great food.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

We enjoy the hiking and biking trails throughout the county.

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

I would love to meet the true self-made “millionaires next door.” Men and women, who through hard work and good choices accumulate personal wealth far greater than they could ever dream…and still live a regular lifestyle. I would be interested in their stories and what positive things they have done with their money.

Helping my clients keep more of their hard-earned money, not because it’s my job, but because I genuinely care about them.
