We Tried It...iSkin ProTouch Keyboard Protector

Nov 30, 2009 04:00PM ● By Wendy Sipple

A few mornings ago (with eyes half open) I stumbled back into bed with a cup of coffee in one hand and a piece of toast in the other,

ready to resume schoolwork on my laptop. The next thing I knew...the coffee went flying towards my MacBook, my dog headed for the toast, and I braced myself for disaster.

But it all ended horror-free. My new iSkin ProTouch Keyboard Protector did its job.

The silicone sheet wraps around each key and seals off the entire pad to protect from spills, dust-mites, key wear and mold. Just a few swipes of the paper towel and I was able to soak up the puddle of coffee.

Another feature is the embedded Microban antimicrobial product protection. Now while I am not quite sure how it manages this, :) I do know it inhibits the growth of bacteria, which is awesome. For anyone who spends all day sitting at the computer, this is a must have during the flu season. You simply peel it off the keyboard, give it a quick wash and resume typing away.

So if you are looking for a Christmas gift for the messy eater (like me) or the germ-concerned loved one in your life, look no further.

Product prices range from $24.99 to $34.99, available at iskin.com
