Head out to Folsom Lake Bowl to celebrate its third decade in business! To commemorate its 30 years of area bowling, Folsom Lake Bowl will offer prices from 30 years ago! Spend only $1 for a game, and $.25 for a pair of shoes from August 31 to September 4.

Join Hang It Up Gallery for “First Friday” every month in Town Center. The first “First Friday” is August 7, and will feature gallery artists Michelle Mackenzie and Judith Monroe plus works by Mark P., winner of the El Dorado Hills Art Association Scholarship award. Don’t know what to do with your old car? Now you you have a convenient option that benefits your wallet and the Folsom Public Schools! The Folsom Auto Expo takes place every Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Folsom High School parking lot. Gallery at 48 Natoma in Folsom through September 10. “Fine Art in Wood and Furniture” will showcase a selection of woodwork pieces by artists Jeff Hunt, Robert Koch, Gary Foster and David Marks (host of the show “Woodworks”).

Alchemy Day Spa in Folsom will celebrate its one-year anniversary with a Tiki Party on August 12, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will include tropical desserts, drinks and prizes!

Calling all artists, are you looking for a new project? Want to support the fight against breast cancer? The Albie Aware Breast Cancer Foundation and Women’s Wisdom Project will host its Second Annual Art Bra Show in September in Sacramento and is looking for artists of various media to submit work. Spend an afternoon at the El Dorado Hills Senior Center for “In Your Own Skin,” a free workshop about skin protection, sun damage, skin cancer and treatment options, hosted by Dr. Arnold Almonte.
