Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

It’s an 18-hole golf course with driving range, pro-shop, restaurant, and special occasion and wedding area. I found it.

What was your vision when you first started your business, and what is it now?

My vision is a beautiful, scenic yet challenging layout golf course in the foothills. I am putting a lot of energy and effort into improving all aspects of my course.

What is the best part of doing business in this community?

I enjoy the children and seniors who enjoy my affordable and friendly golf course.

What was your first job, and what did you learn from the experience?

I worked at my father-in-law’s golf course in Taipei, Taiwan. He built the golf course from ground up, and I was with him the entire way.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

I belong to the Rotary Club, four chambers of commerce, and am actively involved with my customers every day. I donate gift certificates to schools and many other charitable organizations.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

We consider each other family. We work as a team and help each other.

Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?

My father-in-law. He is a very successful businessman and well respected in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

Red Hawk Casino, for dinner and a little gambling.

What is your hidden talent?

I speak Chinese Mandarin, Japanese, and Taiwanese.

What’s your biggest job perk?

Seeing customers enjoy playing my course; making improvements to the golf course so that it makes all of my customers happy.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

Playing softball in school, fashion modeling, music and landscape painting.

What’s your favorite local business other than your own?

El Dorado Hills Town Center and Red Hawk Casino.

And finally, customer service is…?

Always number one.
