Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

GNC is the world’s largest company of its kind devoted exclusively to providing the highest quality in specialty supplements and sports nutrition, diet and energy products.
We were looking to start a business that was devoted to improving people’s quality of lives while helping them reach their health goals. When we found GNC, it seemed like a perfect fit for us.

What was your vision when you first started your business, and what is it now?

Our vision is to help our customer’s improve the quality of their lives while providing excellent customer service.

What is the best part of doing business in this community?

The residents of this community have been overwhelmingly supportive and we have received much positive feedback since establishing our business here. People are really excited about our store.

What was your first job, and what did you learn from the experience?

My first job was working at the Sacramento City College Bookstore. That experience taught me that hard work, dedication, and having a fun personality can help you move ahead in life.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

We’ve lived in this area for over 15 years, and our family has been involved in Loaves and Fishes and the Leukemia Society. We always give back to our community that has always taken care of our family.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

They're dedicated to the success of our business and strive to provide great customer service.

What is the best thing about being the boss?

We have full control of our destiny!

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

Being an immigrant from Nepal, I earned my degree from Sacramento State University and now  own a small business. I feel like I am living the American dream.  We are also proud of the two wonderful children and the great family and relatives we have.

Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?

Our fathers are our role models because they have shown us that success can be achieved with determination and hard work.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

We turn to each other for support; we always work as a team in every decision that affects our family.

And finally, customer service is…?

Providing a shopping experience that exceeds our customer’s expectations!
