Birthday Bashes

So your child’s birthday is less than a month away. The pressure’s on to make his or her special day both unique and memorable, but you’re fresh out of ideas… and time.
To help get the creative juices flowing, we asked one of the area’s best resources, the El Dorado Mother of Multiples (EDMoMs) club, for input on the latest party trends and locations. Boasting members from Rocklin to Placerville with a total of more than 450 kids, this group knows birthdays.

TODDLERS (ages 2-4)
Because children this age are just starting to form friendships, larger group parties tend to encourage interaction between kids, and parents too.

All-Inclusive
Let’s face it, planning entertainment for 20-30 little ones can be overwhelming. For some parents, the “house of fun” that handles all details is an attractive alternative. Popular local places include: Funtastic, Tumble Time, My Gym, Tricks, Strikes Bowling, Kidspark, Bounceopolis, Bounce Town, Jumping Jacks Gym, Pump It Up, All Star Gymnastics and Cheer, Tumble Time Gymnastics, The Little Gym, American Powerhouse, and Chuck E. Cheese. Your local Parks & Recreation Departments also offer great party options for varying ages.
If you host your toddler’s party at home or a nearby park, professionals like Sierra Balloon Creators of Placerville (sierraballooncreators.com) or Trevor the Magician (916-524-9600) can help make it even more special. Additionally, local celebrity Music Mike (musicmike.com) would be a hit at any birthday party.
